we’ll conquer

Bucegi mountains

The Bucegi Mountains are located in central Romania, south of the city of Brașov. They are part of the Southern Carpathians group of the Carpathian Mountains. The Bucegi is believed to be the Dacian holy mountain Kogainon, on which the God Zalmoxis resided in a cave.
At a higher elevation is the Bucegi Plateau, where wind and rain have turned the rocks into spectacular figures such as the Sphinx and Babele. Also, the highest peak of the Bucegi Mountains and one of the highest points in Romania is Varful Omu (The Man Peak), easily accessible by various trails and a main attraction for true mountaineers during the summer season.

Piatra craiului mountains

The Piatra Craiului Mountains are a mountain range in the Southern Carpathians in Romania. In Romanian “Piatra Craiului” means “Prince’s Stone”.

They mountains form a narrow and saw-like ridge, which is about 25 km (16 mi) long. The highest elevation in the massif is the “Vârful La Om” at 2,238 metres (7,343 ft).

The ridge is regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in the Carpathians. Starting at either Plaiul Foii in the north-west or Curmătura in the north-east, walkers climb up to the ridge before following a somewhat precarious path along the narrow spine. The descent at the southern end leads into a karst landscape of deep gorges and pitted slopes where water penetrating the rock has carved a series of caves.

Făgăraș mountains

The Fagaras Mountains makes the highest section of the Transylvanian Alps (Southern Carpathian Mountains), in south-central Romania, whose steep northern face rises above 2,450 meters and overlooks the Făgăraş Depression.

The Făgăraș Mountains are a very popular hiking, trekking and skiing destination in Romania. In the vicinity of the Negoiu, and in the central part of the band take the rocky nature of the mountains, and reaching the main ridge trail there are technical difficulties and exposure. Somewhat difficult part of the trail is a “Three steps from the death” running the main ridge by ridge Custura Arpaşului the lake (in Romanian Lacul) Capra (2230 m).
